Strain well and drink up to three cups a day on an empty stomach. You make fennel tea the same way you make caraway tea.

7. Mint

Mint is a good home remedy to ease an upset stomach. Eat mint in the form of spearmint or peppermint. You can even chew mint-flavored gum to ease an upset stomach. Mint helps food move through the intestines properly and helps soothe stomach cramps.

You can also make a mint tea by taking a cup of dried mint and adding boiling water to it. Cover and let it sit for up to ten minutes. Strain and drink up to three cups a day on an empty stomach.

8. Baking Soda

Make your own antacid using baking soda. Simply mix a ½ teaspoon of baking soda with a ½ glass of water and drink it. If you have high blood pressure do not use this remedy because baking soda is sodium compound.

9. Watch What You Drink

When dealing with an upset stomach, watch what you drink because certain beverages can make it worse or cause you to have an upset stomach. Some people think that milk can help soothe their upset stomach but this is not true. Milk can make it worse.

Other beverages that can cause an upset stomach or make it worse are coffee and alcohol. These types of beverages can irritate the stomach lining.

The best thing to drink when you have an upset stomach is plenty of water. By drinking six to eight glasses a day you can keep your stomach and intestines running smoothly.
